The Essentials Website

Custom website design for therapist website, page example

Launch your therapist website with a strong foundation, in just a day!

You’ve done your best with the free-ish options. You’ve published a PsychologyToday profile, on top of about 8 other directories. “Maybe paying $30 a month is doable? And a directory profile better than nothing… right?” You’ve told all of your friends and family about your business (also terrifying), but you’re still waiting for enough inquiries to feel legit.

Here’s the thing. The therapist directories only let you do so much.

They have limits on how much you say, the specialties you can list, and the content you can share. But this is YOUR business, right? Shouldn’t you be able to represent it online how you want?

Maybe your current stage of business doesn’t allow for the investment into a full, multi-page website yet. No worries… I’ve been there, too. Luckily, having a multi-page website isn’t the only other option. Instead, we can create a website that represents you and your work in a way that feels authentic, all contained in one page. Oh yeah, and designed in a day!

The pros? Lower costs and faster turn around, without sacrificing professional quality.

Also, how exciting would it be to give someone YOUR website domain name instead of a link to your profile in a directory?!

Alright… how does this actually happen in a day?!

I’m glad you asked.

1 Discovery Phase

This is where we’ll get to know each other! I’ll learn about your website needs and vision. Based on our conversation, I’ll share a proposal detailing the design process, timeline, and other details. Once the proposal is signed and invoice is paid, we move to the next phase!

2 Content Phase

~1-2 weeks prior to Design Day

Okay, okay… I know I say “one day.” You got me. We do need a week or two before our Design Day for you to complete some prep work. I’ll share instructions for you to complete a design questionnaire, write copy for each section of your website, and collect photos. As the Design Day approaches, I’ll check in with you about content progress and any questions you have.

Side note… if copywriting scares you, you’re not alone. Read my FAQ answer about it!

3 Design Day

Design Day is my time to implement the website design, utilize your copywriting, and insert any professional photos you have! Here’s a rough outline of the day:

Morning: Early in the day, I’ll create and share two design directions for you to choose from. Your feedback helps me establish your branding essentials and jump into the website design.

Mid-Morning - Early Afternoon: I’ll bring your website to life, inserting the content you’ve provided and implementing the design direction you love. You’ll be on standby for any questions I might have.

Late Afternoon: We’ll meet via video call to review your website and celebrate together! After our call, you’ll make the final payment, I’ll make the site live and I’ll transfer site ownership to you!

You’ll receive an email from me within a few days to check back in. This is the time to CELEBRATE and feel proud of your business for leveling up!
